Gabee Products is a family owned business, established in 1949 by a young man named Heinz, who crafted a handbag to show his adoring love for his wife Gabrielle. She was so enchanted by the design, Heinz decided to start manufacturing “bags of difference” and thus Gabee was born.
Their son Frank has managed the business since 1969, and, joined by his wife Deany in 1984 they have continued the tradition of design and manufacture to expand Gabee’s range into new markets such as small leather goods, back packs, & luggage. Furthermore, Frank’s son Mark – a third generation family member – is also involved in the day-to-day operation of the business keeping Heinz’s passion alive.
In 2009 Gabee will be celebrating 60 years of business, the family philosophy and tradition for creating “bags of difference” will continue to meet the ever-changing trends of the Australian & New Zealand consumer for many more generations.
